A Conscious Project - Emperador Clothing

Since February of 2017, I've been dedicating time to a conscious clothing project - Emperador Clothing. Emperador Clothing uses clothing as a vehicle to touch upon climate change and social justice issues while simultaneously working to funnel funds towards the work on immigrants' rights by the ACLU Foundation.

Please check out the Emperador Clothing website to learn more and see our products. Click here to read about our work as it's been written about in the Boston Voyager*. If you're interested about our environmentally responsibly sourced materials, please watch this video that discusses tonlé's 'zero-waste' production process. We collaborate with tonlé to ensure that our products are made taking the environment into account.

*While the Boston Voyager article says that we donate 75% of our profits to the ACLU, please note that we've changed our donation strategy and now donate 10% of any item's purchase price to the ACLU Foundation. This change creates more transparency around how much money will be donated per purchase and also provides Emperador Clothing with the ability to decide how the donations will be invested. Donating simply to the ACLU does not allow Emperador Clothing to earmark the funds for a particular cause; however, future donations from Emperador Clothing to the ACLU Foundation can and will be earmarked to support work in immigrants' rights.
